Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Golden (“the App”) collects, uses, and protects your information. Golden helps you arrive on time through calendar syncing, traffic-aware reminders, and optional location-based alerts. We collect only the minimum data required to deliver these features.

• Calendar event titles, times, and locations when you connect your calendar
• App preferences such as reminder timing, buffers, and notification settings
• Support communications if you contact us

Golden does not require account creation unless explicitly stated in the App.

Golden may collect limited device and usage information such as device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and anonymous performance metrics. This data is used solely to maintain, improve, and secure the App.

If enabled, Golden may access approximate or real-time location solely to estimate travel time for active reminders such as “Leave Now” alerts. Golden does not track your location continuously and does not store historical location data beyond what is required to deliver the selected feature.

• Detect and resolve technical issues

Golden does not use your data for advertising, profiling, resale, or machine learning model training.

Golden offers paid subscriptions with a free trial. All payments, renewals, and cancellations are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Golden does not collect or store payment or billing information.

Golden does not sell or rent personal information. Limited data may be shared with service providers (such as mapping, analytics, or infrastructure services) solely to operate the App.

Golden does not permanently store calendar event content and processes event data transiently to deliver reminders. Data is retained only as long as necessary to operate the App.

• Disconnect your calendar at any time
• Disable notifications or location access in device settings
• Cancel subscriptions through your app store
• Uninstall the App at any time

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA, including requesting access to or deletion of your data.

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure.

Golden is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Golden (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Golden provides time estimates, reminders, and notifications intended to help you plan when to leave for scheduled events.

• Provides estimated departure times
• May use third-party data (e.g., traffic conditions)
• Does not provide navigation or turn-by-turn directions
• Does not guarantee punctuality

All reminders, ETAs, and notifications are estimates only. Actual travel times may vary due to traffic, weather, delays, user behavior, device limitations, or third-party services.

Golden does not guarantee arrival times, accuracy of estimates, or that you will not be late. You are solely responsible for deciding when to leave and how to travel.

Golden is not a navigation system, emergency service, or safety-critical / real-time monitoring tool.

Do not rely on Golden for emergencies, time-sensitive safety decisions, or situations where failure could result in harm, injury, or significant loss.

• You remain fully responsible for your schedule, travel decisions, and punctuality.
• You will not rely exclusively on the App for critical commitments.
• You understand that delays, missed events, or losses may occur despite using the App.

Golden offers a paid subscription with a 7-day free trial. Payments, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. Golden does not process payments directly.

Subscription access continues through the end of the billing or trial period after cancellation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Golden and its developer shall not be liable for:

• Missed appointments, meetings, or events
• Missed transportation (including flights, trains, or rides)
• Lost income, business opportunities, or consequential damages
• Delays caused by inaccurate estimates or third-party data

Golden’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months, or $100, whichever is less.

The App may be unavailable at times due to maintenance, network failures, or third-party service interruptions. Golden does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

You may currently use Golden without an account. In the future, optional account features (such as email login) may be introduced. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Golden may suspend or discontinue the App at any time without liability.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
